Editorial Policy

This page explains how we research, write, and check the guides on this site.

How we choose sources

We use the official website of a company when we write about that company. That is the best place to learn what a business says about itself.

For health and dental topics, we prefer the American Dental Association, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, government dental boards, and peer-reviewed research.

For legal topics, we prefer state law, state rules, and state dental boards. We do not use random blogs as a main legal source.

How we check company information

We read the company's own public pages. We write a short summary in our own words. We do not copy marketing text.

If a company does not clearly say something on its public website, we write: "Not clearly stated on the company's public website." We do not guess.

Every company fact on our guides shows a source link and the date we last checked it.

How we write about other companies

We describe what a company does. We do not call another company unsafe, illegal, or low quality.

Different companies use different methods. We explain the difference in plain, neutral words.

How corrections work

Companies change their process. Websites change too. If you see something out of date or wrong, tell us and we will check it.

If a fact is wrong, we fix it and update the "last checked" date on the page.

How often pages are reviewed

Guides that mention other companies are reviewed on a regular schedule. Each page shows its last reviewed date and last updated date.

Our platform keeps an internal record for each company with a source link, notes, and the date it was last verified.

Editorial content vs. company marketing

Editorial content is written by our team to explain a topic. It is not paid placement.

Marketing content describes our own platform and our own pricing. We label it clearly and keep it separate from the educational parts of a guide.

No company pays to appear in, or be left out of, our guides.
